If you have watched the fastpitch pitching video demonstrations, you probably have a good understanding of how the TightSpin Trainer pitching aid works and what it will do for you. But just in case you’re still not fully aware of how it works, here is what you can do.
- Get a regulation softball.
- Get your riseball, curveball, dropball, or screwball grip.
- Turn the ball just like you would for each type of spin. I’m sure you’ve heard the expression “turn the doorknob” when describing the release of the risball.
- Now, imagine that the softball is actually hard to turn because that is what the TightSpin Trainer fastpitch pitching aid does to the softball. It makes it harder to “turn the doorknob”.
- Imagine doing this 25 times or more for each type of spin, because when you do this with the TightSpin Trainer,
the burning sensation in your fingers, hand, wrist, and forearm will tell you what a great workout you’re getting.
